She is famous for her performances in Spamalot's West End original production and the Regent's Park revival of Into the Woods. In recognition of her work, she has been nominated three time for the Olivier Award. In 2015, she was a part of the Game of Thrones cast as Septa Unella, the sixth season of the fifth season. In addition to her main part as Septa Unella, she was an ensemble participant of the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables as well as the 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge. Waddingham has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award.
